The taper hairstyle is the perfect type of hairstyle if you want something that looks clean and neat around the sides and back, yet still gives you a ton of different options on top.
A lot of people wonder what the difference between a taper and a fade is – the main difference is that a taper doesn’t go up very high, and it’s gradual. So while a fade might go from a 0 to a 1-2 on the sides, a taper can go from a 1 to a 4.
A low fade and a taper might look very similar at times, but if you’re the type of guy that doesn’t want the sides of their hair to be cut up too high, opt for a taper.
