Top 10 Hottest Sneakers on The Market in 2016

The sneaker market is a billion dollar industry, one that traditionally Nike has been at the forth front of, but lately Adidas with its various collaborations and original lines has been absolutely killing it in the sneaker game. This has prompted a lot of competition which is always a great thing for sneaker heads as it means more innovation and cool releases for the public. Below are 10 sneakers that really stand out to me in 2016, some of them of course very hyped and popular but that doesn’t take away from the impact they’ve had this year. Enjoy!

1. Adidas Ultra Boost

Adidas Ultra BoostThis is by far my favorite sneaker at the moment in the Adidas line up. I love the aesthetic of the shoe and the comfort it provides (which literally feels like you’re walking on clouds at times). If you’re a runner you will LOVE these shoes, if you’re a sneaker head or into streetwear, these are a staple at the moment with so many amazing collabs and colorways and the limited supply these are a must have.

2. Asics Gel Lyte 3

Asics Gel Lyte 3

These in my opinion are very slept on. The cool pastel colorways are beautiful, the so many collabs this line has provided, you will for sure find something you’ll love. The best thing about these sneakers is that you will have a good chance of copping your favorite pair as they’re not super hyped like an exclusive Nike or Adidas shoe.

3. Yeezy Boost 350

We obviously can’t leave these out of the list. Yes they’re hyped, but you can’t let that take away from the impact these shoes are having on the market at the moment. They’re rare, and if you have em you can expect to flex em, in my opinion these will go down as a classic if the current exclusivity is held to the same standard and not mass produced. Beautiful shoe, props to kanye.

4. Air Jordan 1’s BRED

Air Jordan 1 BRED

I forgot how much I love a sick pair of Jordan 1’s. The breds were released again this year and if you were lucky to get a pair you’ll know why I have these on the list. Just a classic Jordan shoe that should be a part of every sneaker head’s collection.

5. Common Projects Achilles Low

Common Projects Achilles Low

Sometimes I like to delve into the more premium and expensive part of the market and the Common Projects Achilles Low are definitely a big name here. Premium white sneaker that exudes quality and craftsmanship. A perfect summer sneaker.

6. Adidas NMD

Adidas NMD

Although I’m not the biggest fan of the NMD’s I can’t deny they’ve had some really sick colorways and collabs this year. A lot more freely available than the Ultra Boost so if you like these you’re in luck as you’ll most likely be able to get your favorite pair.

7. Nike Air Presto

Nike Air Presto

A lesser known Nike shoe, I think these are beautiful and very inexpensive. If you’re looking for nice pair of Nike’s but don’t want to pay an arm and a leg i’d definitely go with these, they have some really nice colorways or just plain solids.

8. Air Jordan 4’s – Cement

The air Jordan 4 is by far my favorite as far as Jordans go. The silhouttes is the best in my opinion and the cement colorway is amazing. This is one basketball shoe I can rock with a plethora of outfits and they wouldn’t stick out like a sore thumb like other Jordan’s tend to.

9. Nike Air Force 1 – Flax

Nike Air Force 1 Flax Wheat

Something about the flax colorway that I really love. These go amazing with a pair of black jeans and they just plain and simply look sick. I love the Air Force 1 line and this is a really unique colorway that’s a must have.

10. Nike Flyknit Racer

Nike Flyknit Racer Multicolor

As far as running shoes go, these are one of my favorites. The colorways really stand out from University Red to the multicolor or just Oreos, they all look high quality and contrast really well with a nice outfit. Great for casual wear, definitely a staple for a Nike running shoe.
