Packing is notoriously difficult, especially if you are into clothes. (Which is why capsule wardrobes are becoming so popular as of late) Narrowing down your wardrobe that much is always hard and trying to plan for every possible condition weather wise can cause over packing. However, I’ve been packing recently and I have 5 handy tips to stop you from making any mistakes.
1. Make sure everything goes together
You don’t want to arrive at your destination and realise that the clothes you brought just don’t look right together, so make sure to try on everything that you plan to take before you go to avoid any disasters.
2. Only take what you NEED
Let’s be real, if you’re going to Italy in the middle of summer, you don’t really need that huge jacket ‘just in case’. All you’re doing there is wasting space that could be used for more important items.
3. Take at least 1 pair of comfortable shoes
If you’re on a trip, likelihood is you’ll be walking a lot, so make sure to take at least one comfy pair of shoes that’ll get you through a long day of walking.
4. Save some room in your case
Chances are you’ll want to do a bit of shopping while your away. But if you managed to fill your case whilst packing, then how are you going to get any new pickups back home?
5. Utilise your hand luggage space
This is kind of like an add-on to my last point but it’s still important. Cram as much as you can into that hand luggage and it’ll leave you with more case space.
