As a guy who goes to the gym pretty frequently, I can confidently say half of my wardrobe consists of athletic clothing. It’s like an addiction, I just can’t stop won’t stop buying gym clothes!
No matter if you’re a seasoned gym rat or you’re new to the gym we all want the same thing from our gym clothes – to look appropriate for the occasion, to look good and accentuate the best parts of us, and of course to be comfortable.
Here’s a list of my favorite gym clothes!
1. Compression Shirts
I love compression shirts, short sleeve or long sleeve, both will do the trick. They’re very comfortable to workout in, you can get as sweaty as you like and you won’t feel any discomfort at all, the pump also feels amazing when in a compression shirt.
2. Gym Shorts
What you want out of your gym shorts is a simple, neutral colored, breathable pair of shorts that end just slightly above the knees. You don’t want to go to the gym in your rainbow colored board shorts!
3. Gym Shirt
What you want out of your gym shirt is a high quality shirt made out of polyester. This ensures comfort and fast drying. Highly recommend everyone have a few gym shirts (you don’t want to wear the same one everyday!)
4. Sleeveless Gym Shirt
If you live in a particularily hot area, or if you get really heated and sweaty during a workout, than a tank top is the way to go.
5. Tapered Sweatpants
These are a must have! I love sweatpants so much I would go with them everywhere if it was socially acceptable. Get yourself a pair of high quality tapered sweatpants!
